Overview
These guides help developers integrate the Novarum Reader SDK into mobile applications that capture and analyse lateral flow tests using the device camera. Each child page focuses on a supported platform and explains the setup steps, permissions, reader view configuration, callbacks, result models, version compatibility, and common troubleshooting points needed to complete an integration.
Use this section as the starting point for choosing the guide that matches your application stack:
-
Reader SDK Android Integration Guide — for native Android applications using Gradle, AWS CodeArtifact, the Novarum Analyzer Preview, and either XML layouts or Jetpack Compose.
-
Reader SDK iOS Integration Guide — for native iOS applications using CocoaPods, camera permissions, and the SwiftUI
ReaderViewWrapper. -
Reader SDK React Native Integration Guide — for Expo and React Native applications using the
@novarumdx/ndx-imaging-expopackage, camera permission hooks, and theNdxImagingExpoViewcomponent.
Before you begin, make sure you have the Novarum-provided analyser configuration file and any required repository or package registry credentials. The platform-specific guides describe how to install the SDK, request camera access, embed the scanner UI, receive frame-by-frame progress updates, handle completed or aborted scans, and access the returned analysis data.
If you are unsure which guide to follow, start with the page for your target application platform. For cross-platform apps built with Expo or React Native, use the React Native guide; for fully native projects, use the Android or iOS guide as appropriate.
